Located in the extremely desirable village of Zennor this wonderfully cosy double fronted cottage provides commanding views over the valley across rolling countryside and out to sea.
This three bedroom home is one that blends both modern with character and oozes warmth and cosy living in a tranquil Cornish setting.
The semi-detached granite cottage is fronted by a low-level walled garden with plenty of parking available leading to its large integral garage. The cottage has an abundance of land surrounding it with two fields and a strip of gorse land rising towards the top of Zennor Hill, from where there are panoramic views over the whole valley and out to sea on both the north and south coasts of West Penwith. In addition, the rear of the property has a wonderful enclosed garden, housing a mixture of mature shrubs and hedges, leading up stone steps to a cornish orchard and beyond to the fields
The property itself greets you with a recently modernized porch and entrance hall combining wood with the cottage's stripped granite walls. A door on one side leads to the original kitchen and separate dining area complete with an original granite fireplace and granite floors. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room. To the opposite side of the entrance hall, is the doorway to the wonderful lounge with a large window providing breathtaking views to the village and sea beyond. The lounge has a vaulted ceiling with beautifully exposed beams allowing the room to fill with light and charm all year round. It also features a log burner that provides a toasty ambience through the winter months.
At the end of the lounge is a door which leads to a hallway from which you can access; the remaining bedroom, the family bathroom, airing cupboard with storage, the loft space and the door to the back garden. There is also access from the hallway to the integral garage, with a utility area and plenty of space for a workshop or storage. All in all, this entire cottage is one that nestles into the hillside and soaks up the beauty of the valley: It really needs to be viewed to appreciate its stunning situation and potential. This is a place that can feel far removed from modern life but is within walking distance of the village centre.
