Connections are excellent with Cornwall Airport located just a couple of miles away providing regular flights to London along with other UK and European destinations.Description
Set in a quiet no through road, Arundell is in a peaceful residential area and close to the footpath down to the beach. The property is entered through a porch and then a frosted glass door to a large hallway with Travertine marble floor.
The south facing living room benefits from large windows and a contemporary wood burner. A glazed door leads from the hallway to the enormous kitchen/family room with bi fold doors onto the sun terrace and garden.
The luxurious, fully fitted kitchen is equipped with Miele appliances, an Aga, a wine fridge and central, granite-topped island. A vaulted ceiling in this double aspect room allows it to be full of natural light, and a continuation of the Travertine floor and the sliding doors onto the patio make it a great room for inside/outside living. Off the kitchen is a large utility room with door to the garden, with plumbing for a washing machine and dryer and a large freezer.
Across the hall on the ground floor is the large master bedroom suite with patio doors onto the terrace. The bedroom has fitted wardrobes and the huge, fully tiled en suite has a bath and freestanding shower.
There is also a large laundry cupboard housing the boiler, hot water tank and controls for the solar heating panels. Also off the hall is a wc and a door into a spacious garage, with additional loft storage, well-lit with a large skylight window.
Glass and oak stairs lead to the first floor and two large double bedroom suites, with the front bedroom having views of the beach and the expanse of coast westwards, while the rear room has views over the garden. Natural light fills the rooms and both have generous built in storage space. The landing is well lit with a skylight window.
There are many lovely details to this property, notably the oak stairs, banisters and Italian oak doors and frames throughout; the touch light mirrors; the fully tiled and high-quality fittings in each bathroom or shower room; the smart, black modern Aga; travertine, granite and slate surfaces, inside and out. The house reflects the care with which the current owners designed every detail to an exacting standard.
Outside: The front terraced garden has artificial grass and planted borders designed for easy upkeep. There is a drive to each side of the entrance with parking for four cars as well as a large garage. To the side of the property is a workshop which has electricity and light and more storage space.
The rear garden is made up of a large sun terrace, perfect for outdoor dining, and at the other end of the house is a terrace accessed from the back door, which is perfect for drying laundry and wetsuits. Steps lead to a raised grassed area.
