Description

A stunning duplex penthouse with generous wraparound balcony offering southwest views, taking in Birmingham's rapidly changing skyline. This stunning property spans an impressive 1033 sqft over two floors and features floor to ceiling windows throughout, a large open-plan living space, a fully-integrated designer kitchen, two double bedrooms (one with luxury en-suite!) and a contemporary family bathroom, with rainfall shower over bath. Transulscent Rodeca panels boost light levels in the lounge and kitchen, and eco-friendly solar panels help to lower energy costs in the property, two extremely unique features in Birmingham City Centre.

Marshall House is a unique development of 5 remarkable warehouse apartments, located in the heart of Birmingham city centre.

No boring, bland boxes here - these are thoughtfully design-led homes - you can be proud of where you live.

Coppertree have taken the heart and soul of the building known as Marshall House and turned it into an exclusive selection of industrial style apartments and duplexes. Where other developers would have knocked down the building and built soulless shells, Coppertree have developed the beauty within. They have worked hard to retain many original characteristics of the building: Staggeringly high ceilings, crittall window frames, large open light spaces.

Marshall House is a very different development.

By working with the shape of the original building, the developers have been able to maximise the space within the apartments to create beautiful places to live.

All of the apartments have a very open plan living space, this paired with the impressive square footage and the high ceilings, makes for apartments that feel utterly massive. Not only this, but the apartments come with plenty of storage space, so your living area can be for doing precisely that: Living.

Please note, as development is not yet complete we are awaiting commissioning of EPC.

The Interiors

The Interiors - All materials both look and feel exceptional. Each and every detail has been carefully considered; from the hand-crafted door pulls, and artisan worktops, to the high quality Dowsing & Reynolds light switches, sockets and door handles.

These elements and other luxury touches come together to create a modern and cutting-edge industrial design that reflects both the city's past and the direction it’s heading.

Restoring exposed brickwork, cleaning up and making a feature out of the original beams and polishing the current concrete floors keeps the industrial aesthetic of the building's past, without being overwhelming.

Taking inspiration from modernistic Scandinavian design, the apartments encompass a simple, clean and functional environment that still provides space to bring some individuality to your home.

The mixture of sophisticated industrial aesthetics and scandinavian living influences come together to create something truly original in Birmingham City Centre.

The Location

A short walk from New Street Station, the Colmore Business District, Snowhill Station, the site for HS2, the new hsbc headquarters, Grand Central and the Bullring – this location is one of the most enviable throughout Birmingham (if not the whole UK). A glance to the right of your new front door and you will see one of Birmingham’s latest design icons, The Cube, glistening in the sun like a beckoning beacon to this thriving area.

There are plenty of green spaces close to 5x2. Around the corner are the Peace Gardens, and just a short walk away is Park Central and City Garden.

5x2 is located directly adjacent to Birmingham's premier shopping and lifestyle destination, the Mailbox - the ultimate location for designer fashion, luxury home furnishings or canal-side restaurants in the Midlands. You will never be bored with this amount of choice on your doorstep.

If independent businesses are more your cup of tea, head to the close-by Ikon gallery for a culture infusion, followed by brunch at Yorks Cafe.
Pick up your fresh bread and a few cakes in the city core from Medicine Bakery or spend your evening playing retro games and drinking craft beer at Tilt. Around a 20 minute walk away is the independent haven, The Custard Factory, home to some of our favourites such as The Clean Kilo, Mockingbird Cinema, Baked In Brick, and the infamous Digbeth Dining Club.

The History

The History - Styled in the Art Deco style popularised in the 1920s and 30s, Marshall House combines the perfunctory modernist approach to architecture in the 1950s with the fashions of the earlier period to create a stand out bookmark in the evolution of Birmingham’s vibrant cityscape.

The building has seen Birmingham's post-war slums torn down and replaces by low rise house and towering flat which in turn, at the turn of the millennium, have been replaced or improved through programmes of sustained investment into England’s 2nd city.

The results are clear to see. The efforts of all those who came to Birmingham, from near and far throughout recent history serving as a testament to how hard work has not only sustained Birmingham as a great city but made the success seen today possible.

The Developers

The Developers - Coppertree love finding high potential sites to develop. Location and development type are secondary. There is no 'copy and paste' in their office – just a great team motivated to create unique places to live and enjoy. You'll find no boring, bland boxes in their repertoire.

Coppertree is owned and run by Jon Horton and James Goodchild, who have more than 20 years’ experience in property between them. They have each come to property from other industries.

Jon has more than 10 years of senior management experience at major fmcg companies, and James has been an entrepreneur from an early age, successfully starting up many companies from sales and leisure to tree recycling.

Jon and James love to get involved in all aspects of the projects, meaning the developments have a real personal touch and a strong connection to the directors. For Jon and James, it's all about being proud of what they create and enjoying the process along the way.
