It is also home to Jamie Oliver's award winning restaurant "Fifteen Cornwall". Around eight miles away, the quaint fishing village of Padstow provides an excellent range of good pubs and restaurants including Rick Stein's seafood restaurant together with many other recreational facilities.

2 Along with Bodmin Moor, Cornwall's spectacular coastline adds to the variety of land and seascapes for which the county is renowned. In addition, a long and prosperous history in mining, sea faring and agriculture has produced many houses and gardens that prosper in the county's maritime climate.

3 For recreation there are a number of challenging golf courses, many opportunities for boating and sailing along the creeks and estuaries on the south coast and world class surfing along the wilder beaches of the north coast.

4 Connections are excellent from Mawgan Porth with the nearby A30 dual carriageway giving convenient access to the M5 motorway at Exeter. Newquay Airport is just a few miles to the south of the village and offers UK and European connections.
