Description

Quietly located in a child friendly cul de sac, this immaculate detached villa is sure to appeal to the discerning purchaser who is looking to acquire a spacious family home in a village setting which is only about 8 miles from Glasgow City Centre. The property has been carefully upgraded by the current owners, and only by viewing can the attention to detail be fully appreciated. On entering the property, there is a reception hallway which has a wc off. With a window to the front and French windows to the rear, the lounge benefits from a good amount of natural light and the feature wood burning stove provides a relaxing focal point in the room. The dining area overlooks the enclosed, child friendly garden to the rear and next to the dining area is the kitchen which also overlooks the rear garden. The kitchen comes equipped with modern fitted units and there is breakfast bar which separates the kitchen from the family room. Upstairs there are three well proportioned bedrooms. The master bedroom has an en suite shower room and there is a separate family bathroom. The property has gas central heating and the windows are double glazed. There are level, easily maintained gardens to the front and rear and a driveway for off street parking.

The village of Torrance enjoys a semi-rural location with some views to the Campsie Fells and a good number of interconnecting paths and walking trails nearby. It has local shops which cater for day to day requirements, restaurants and a primary school. Secondary schooling is available at Boclair Academy. The nearby towns of Lenzie and Bishopbriggs, Bearsden and Milngavie offer more extensive shopping and recreational amenities and Glasgow City Centre is only 8 miles away.

What the Owners Say
"This house was the first house we have owned and we've had a lot of fun, joy and happiness here. Since we moved in we've created a new family room which is a great place for our children to play in. We are going to miss family dinners around the breakfast bar and spending time with our friends preparing food together. Another addition has been the installation of the multi fuel stove in the lounge and we have spent many cold winter hours in front of it while enjoying a dram or a glass of wine.
We will truly miss the Torrance community as we absolutely loved the village atmosphere. Both our children went to the local toddler group just 5 minutes' walk from the house. We have loved the local bakery that delivered fresh rolls on Saturdays. The annual Christmas light switch on has been such a lovely wee social event where young and old come together to soak up the Christmas atmosphere.
Torrance is surrounded by woodland paths and trails and we have very fond memories of our children learning to ride their bikes here. We are really going to miss our neighbours, the community, great primary school and this beautiful home but it's now time for us to say goodbye. We know that this house will be just as special for anyone calling it Home."
