An outstanding South facing 1930s dormer home of exceptional quality and presentation, occupying a wonderful spot on the edge of Flushing village, set within level landscaped gardens, just under 1/3rd of an acre in size. Stylishly refurbished and reconfigured in recent years, without expense spared, presenting three double bedroom accommodation (one en-suite downstairs and one with study), together with remarkable reception space, generous garage and parking, all a leisurely ten minute walk to waterside and village centre.
The property Homes like Woodlands, 1 Tregew Close so rarely become available, where a valuable blend of features aligns so nicely with a superb location.
Transformed over recent years from its 1930s origins, by a no expense spared scheme of expansion and remodeling, Woodlands is remarkably spacious and stylish. Quality pervades in and outside, where the accommodation is immaculately presented and all is considered, practical and so appealing.
We love the impressive, almost 30' x 23' reception room with its high ceilings, fireplace with stove and engineered Oak floors, leading out via two sets of French doors onto the South facing terrace and garden. The kitchen/breakfast room is fitted with contemporary, Shaker style units and German appliances; it has a large skylight flooding in light, a utility room beside and access to an adjacent terrace. There are three double bedrooms: One large downstairs, with en suite shower room, box bay window sitting area and French doors outside. A charming and spacious bedroom upstairs has two dormer windows and the third room has its own study area.
Woodlands is very comfortable, well equipped and specified with family bath/shower room upstairs, a shower room/wc plus cloakroom/WC downstairs.
The relatively level landscaped garden is a treat, stocked with choice shrubs and small trees, with brick paved driveway parking space, a detached garage with electronic opening and decent timber workshop. All in all, an outstanding property in a very special position – unhesitatingly recommended!
The location Tregew Close is a select and highly sought-after small collection of homes built on the outskirts of Flushing village Number 1 is particularly well placed, set in a good sized and established level plot, almost 1/3rd of an acre in size, abutting a field to the rear garden. Flushing is a popular and highly desirable waterside village, a short year round foot ferry ride across the harbour from Falmouth.
The village has an active local community and good everyday facilities such as a primary school, church, two pubs and general store as well as a quayside restaurant. Flushing, with its public slipway, is ideally placed for access to Falmouth harbour, the Carrick Roads and all tributaries of the River Fal, providing arguably some of the finest sailing waters available.
There are a number of local sailing clubs and a gig rowing club with boathouse. Mylor harbour is about a mile and a half away and provides excellent facilities including a marina with pontoon and swinging moorings, chandlers and a full range of marine services. The village is a sociable and inclusive place, popular with those residing permanently and also loved by those requiring a home for holidays. Flushing Arts has a varied calendar of events and workshops whilst the annual village pantomime provides opportunities for amateur dramatics and fun! The cathedral City of Truro is approximately 11 miles away and provides an excellent range of shopping and schooling facilities together with a mainline rail link to London Paddington. We believe Tregew Close and woodlands in particular is the perfect Flushing location, with all that is lovely about the village on ones doorstep, yet with space all around to enjoy.
