West Chapelton Crescent is a much admired Bearsden address and home to an array of fine traditional properties. Not far from Bearsden Cross and even handier for Bearsden Railway Station it has a fantastically convenient location.
This is a traditional brick and render Semi-Detached House of five principal apartments (two public rooms and three bedrooms) that has been our clients’ family home for almost 60 years. Whilst improvements have been made over the decades the subjects are generally of a dated vintage and would benefit from modernising allowing the purchaser scope to upgrade to their own taste and budget and in so doing, add value.
As clients will see from our floor plans the subjects are of a good scale, accentuated by high ceilings. The entrance hall is a particularly nice space and makes for a most welcoming first impression. The rooms have been double glazed, those to the front and the hall in a traditional sash and casement style albeit the double-glazed units are of an older vintage. Heating is mains gas – the boiler (a Potterton Promax Combi he Plus) was installed in 2013. Note: The radiators at the top of the stairs and in Bedroom 3 are disconnected. The property is alarmed. Ground floor

The rear garden has been laid with gravel for ease of maintenance and is on two levels. Small patio directly outside of the kitchen window and a slabbed path leading from this to the bottom section of garden. Some beds and planting and an old aluminium framed greenhouse.


In the Chapelton district of Bearsden the house falls within the catchment for Bearsden Primary and Bearsden Academy (Bearsden Academy recently ranked number two state secondary in Scotland). Also within Bearsden is St Nicholas’s Primary on Duntocher Road, The Bearsden Early Years Centre at Drymen Road and on Ledcameroch Road the Junior School for the High School of Glasgow. Bearsden Cross is about half a mile away as are the shops at Kessington. Bearsden Railway Station is but a five-minute walk, the Milngavie branch line is to the rear of the property. Here it has quite a leafy outlook with a view towards Bearsden Tennis Club and Bearsden Scout Hall.
